Jim made our buying and selling experience incredibly seamless. He was professional in his dealings with you, extremely knowledgeable and in-tune with the market situation, and empathetic through the highs and lows of the emotional journey. Jim was extremely organized and well-prepared during all phases. He accommodated for any of our scheduling conflicts during the shopping/buying process, and always made sure to prioritize our needs. We never once felt pressured to do anything that we didn’t feel comfortable doing. When it came time to sell our home, Jim treated the situation as though the house was his own - he helped us with understanding clear timelines so that we laid out a good plan for all the preparations. He even went out of his way to recommend contractors, lawyers, etc. whenever we would ask. He also made arrangements for the staging and photography (out of his pocket). Above all else - when it mattered most, Jim took it upon himself to ensure that the sale would be handled with little to no stress. We had our house listed a day before we left for a 2-week vacation. Jim took fantastic care of the home while we were away, and made arrangements for us to review the deals over the phone even though we were 5 hours apart. Within a week, we had sold the home while overseas and Jim made it all seem so easy. To top off the extraordinary effort already, Jim shipped us a moving kit that provided boxes and packing materials to get us started on the next steps. And by the time moving day came around, Jim was still making efforts to ensure we were all ok by stopping by with a couple of pizzas. Needless to say, Jim reminded us of how a great realtor can completely change your buying/selling experience. And we wouldn’t recommend anyone else but Jim for the job. Just a note to say that the experience that my wife and I had dealing with Jim and his team while trying to find our home in the Barrie area was amazing. Over the past 25 years I have bought and sold over ten homes and have used numerous agents in numerous cities and to be honest, I have been indifferent for the most part. However, for my recent move I chose Jim to sell my house and find me and my children a new one. Simply put, I could not have made a better choice. Jim helped my husband and I find our first home near Barrie. As first time home buyers, we knew very little about buying a house but Jim made us feel very comfortable right from the start. He took the time to explain everything we needed to know and was very patient with us as we learned. Jim was very respectful of our wishes and we never felt pressure from him to make any decision. He encouraged us not to compromise and because of that, ultimately we found our dream home! Although this was just another transaction for him, he made buying our first home feel special for us. Jim is so wonderful, he's ruined all other real estate agents for us! We worked with Jim in 2018 on finding our perfect "Century" home, not an easy feat as they sold fast in last year's market and they all come with their own quirks. Jim was an absolute pleasure to work with: always patient and accommodating, and always treated each potential home as if he was buying it himself so that we wouldn't overpay or overlook any potential concerns. We are not first time buyers, but Jim made the process so easy and effortless that we certainly could have been.
